The understanding of Christ is hugely important. Most importantly because it relates to our decision that we have made to be in relationship with Christ.

We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of all men, and the final authority for all Christian faith and life.

We believe in God the Father, an infinite personal Spirit, perfect in Holiness, wisdom, power and love. We believe He actively and mercifully intervenes in the affairs of men, He hears and answers prayer, that he seeks reconciliation with his creation, and He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.

The Son
We believe Jesus Christ is true God and true man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life and died on a cross as a sacrifice for our sins. He rose bodily from the dead. He ascended into Heaven and is now our High Priest and Advocate at the right hand of the Father.

We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God, equal with the Father and Son. The primary ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ. Specifically, the Holy Spirit convicts unbelievers of their need for Christ; He gives new birth to believing sinners; He indwells, sanctifies, leads, teaches, and empowers believers for godly living and service. We believe that the ministry of the Spirit continues to be as broad, tangible and powerful among believers today as it was as the early church. We believe the biblical gifts of the Holy Spirit continue to be distributed by the Spirit today; that these gifts are divine provisions central to spiritual growth and effective ministry; and that these gifts are to be eagerly desired, faithfully developed, and lovingly exercised according to biblical guidelines.

We believe God created man in the image of God. We further believe that man is a sinner by nature and action and is therefore spiritually dead. We also believe that those who repent of their sin and trust Jesus Christ as Savior are spiritually born again to new life by the Holy Spirit.

Christ’s Return
We believe that the personal and imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ is our future hope and has vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer. We also believe that while this return is our future hope, our current reality here on Earth is to be about ushering in the Kingdom of Heaven until it comes fully when Christ returns.

We believe the Church is composed of people who through saving faith in Jesus Christ are united together in the Body of Christ, of which He is the head.

We believe Jesus Christ did in fact overcome death by being raised to life on the third day. Therefore, we believe in the bodily resurrection from the dead: of the believer to everlasting joy with the Lord; of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment.

Baptism
Baptism is symbolic of the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. Once we have accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior, baptism is a way for us to publicly declare our new life in Christ. It is also a step of obedience based on God’s commands and allows us to follow the example of Jesus, who submitted himself to baptism to “fulfill all righteousness.” (Matthew 3:15)

Do this to remember me.” After supper, he did the same thing with the cup: “This cup is my blood, my new covenant with you. Each time you drink this cup, remember me.” (1 Corinthians 11:23-34)

What If I'm Catholic?
We know that a lot of people in The 10 grew up going to Catholic Church or still attend a Catholic Church - we think it's great that there are such deep Christian roots here. We are not in competition with the Catholic Church. We have a vision way beyond the walls of our church - a movement vision. And we don’t believe we will be the only church in our area to experience this movement.
That being said, since the launch of Mission Church, there have been many instances of people joining our church in worship who have previously been part of the Catholic church. As a result of this, we frequently get a number of questions from Catholics before their first visit or shortly after, and we wanted to provide this content to answer some frequently asked questions in a safe environment.

Absolutely! Mission Church exists to help people find and follow Christ. Whether someone has never been to any type of Christian church before or they go every single week, everyone is welcome at Mission, especially YOU!

Is Mission the same or is it a part of the Catholic Church?
Mission is a non-denominational Christian church, that is not connected to the Catholic church or any other denomination (Lutheran, Baptist, Methodist, etc.). Among the essential beliefs, there is much that we agree upon across all denominations that connect directly to Jesus Christ.

Do you guys take Communion?
We do! We celebrate Communion as an entire church body every 4-8 weeks. We also have a table in the back with the elements every weekend so people can take communion on their own every week.

What do you have for my kids?
We love kids and you’ll see a lot of young families with kids around here. We have a very intentional strategy to partner with you so your child can begin their faithful journey in the most helpful way. It’s probably important to mention that part of this strategy is to have separate spaces for children (infant through 8th grade) at services so that kids and parents alike can grow in their faith with age appropriate teaching environments. Our Mission Kids page can answer all of your questions.

We believe that the Bible communicates that the purpose of baptism is to publicly identify as a Christian - a follower of Jesus. We also believe that following Jesus is a very personal decision. That is why we baptize people who are at least twelve years old.

What if I want to dedicate my child to a life of faith?
At Mission, we do this really cool thing called Baby Dedication. It’s a ceremony in which your baby or child are dedicated to the Christian faith. Also, 3 strategic circles of people are prayed for. First, you, the family. Second is your circle of extended family and close friends. And lastly, the church as a whole.

What about the other sacraments?
We believe in the confession of sin as part of a healthy, regular, Christian life, but we do not have a specific sacramental process for it. We do celebrate marriage, pray for the sick, commission Pastors, and celebrate lives through funerals. We know that these are all significant moments where we draw near to God.
